Day Two
Every morning the kids would wake up at dawn. They were too noisy to keep around camp so Jon would take them down to the lake to fish. On this particular morning Eden & Zion caught 6 fish before 7am. Poor Tara joined the party too late and they ran out of hooks or something. And unfortunately, it was the last really great fishing we had on the trip.

Can you see Zion's fish? It gets a little chaotic when we reel in fish - mainly because of Klamath who tries to maul every fish near the shore. So everyone is yelling at Klamath, trying to hold him back and making a big production - you can see from the pick below how badly the whole scene scared Zion. But it was so exciting cause it was the first fish he has ever reeled in on his own! |
The Trifle Towers
June Lake
It was windy this trip. The first trip to mammoth, that I can think of, that we have experience so much wind with the kids. The kids did not seem to mind as much as I did but it definitly made it harder for them to enjoy the water and paddling as much as they have on previous trips.
