Zi Time at Home

With Eden in school, Zi and I have had a lot of down time together at home. It's hard not to feel a little lost around here without her. It's really an adjustment for us both but Zi is a pretty good entertainer and easily keeps himself and me entertained for hours.

Thank God for Klamath. Not sure how we would manage without him.
Giant grasshoppers make good play mates too.

Zi Gymnastics

Almost every week over the summer Zion would beg me to take him to gymnastics, and even though I had every intention of taking him, it just never did pan out. Once Eden started school he and I could not get back here fast enough!

Baby Beach

A few out-takes from baby beach this summer. It was fun to spend a lot of time with Kara and her crew here this summer, in addition to the cousins and other friends from high school. I'm not sure how many more summers we will have in us at this beach. I'm sure there will be a sporadic beach day here and there, but the kids have definitely out-grown it in a major way. It's really kind of sad, we have passed many a happy day at this spot, and to move on from it really feels like an end of an era and an official proclamation from my babes that they are babies not longer. /:

Harbor Paddles

We did a lot of laps around the harbor this summer. Eden really started to take to going it on her own. That was bitter sweet. It's always great to see your kids step up and be strong and do things on their own but there is a spot on my board where she belongs and I already miss her in that space.

Zion's favorite part of these paddles in 'petting the whales' on this whale research boat.
