Zion's 2nd BDay Party!

Zion turns two next week and as we are planning to be in Mammoth on his actual birthday we decided to gather some of his and our closest friends and family together at baby beach to celebrate these wonderful two years of his life. I said to Jon recently, "Can you believe that Zion is almost two already?" and he said to me "What do you mean? It feels like he is ten.". This has sort of become a running joke because truly I feel the same way. And a complete stranger observing him on the beach recently summed him up very aptly simply by saying "You can see that he is an old soul.". There is just something about this Zion of ours. He is fierce and he is wonderful. Fiercely loving, fiercely emotional, wonderfully captivating and charming. I can not wait to see what his future holds.

"How old are you Zion?" "I'm two."

This is the moment where we all finished singing Happy Birthday to Zion and he leans over to blow out the candles except he falls onto his chin instead almost cracking it open. One of those hilarious Zion moments that are simultaneously heartbreaking and you don't know whether to cry or laugh...good news is it's always easier to recover when there is Dad and cupcakes near by.

Poor Zi was a bit tired and teething at his party going in and out of grumpiness/happiness all day.
I love this of all the big kids doing their own thing, so priceless. Makai on left, Arsen in middle, and Eden out the back.
Eden getting after it with Daddy. She is getting really strong with her paddling but has historically been pretty timid about going into the deep water etc. This day was the most adventurous she has been with it yet.
Pit-stop to pick up Makai then back out there.
Baby Finn, an absolute charmer.

Baby Isle came to the party. Eden and Tara were obsessed!
Happy Birthday Zi!
After Party Presents at the house with the Walla Fam!

Happy Birthday Grampy!

We spent Sunday at my parents house celebrating my Dad's birthday a day early. The kids always have so much fun when they get together and it is so fun to see baby Grayden and see him grow. Not to mention spending time with my parents and sister whom I feel I see far too little of.

Such a sweet moment of Grampy teaching Zion how to "speak Klamath"

How do they look so much alike?
I'm not sure what to say about Easton's faces in these except that they are pretty hilarious.

Zi - taking Grampy by surprise with these unexpected kisses (:
