FINALLY!!! Almost 6 months since Zion's first successful bike riding on New Year's day this year Zion decided he really wanted to try and learn to ride his bike. For some reason this was such a proud moment for me as I have worried and stewed about whether or not this child, whom things come so naturally to, is actually capable of trying at anything and working to do something that is a little more difficult for him. But in hind site I don't think it had as much to do with his ability to try as it had to do with his bodies physical readiness for the task. Since January he has grown at least a couple of inches and is likely just a little bit stronger and more in control of his body. Regardless I am so happy to see him enjoy something other than his scooter and working hard to master a new task.
