If I lived in San Diego, this is where you would find me, every day. Back in college it was one of my favorite places to go, and I have often dreamed of spending time here with the kids. A few days ago while Jon was surfing, the perfect opportunity finally came along to take them. They loved it even more than I had anticipated they would. I love that it is such a wonderland of culture in our very beachy somewhat small town world. Our senses were inundated by the sounds of saxophones, strumming guitars, beautiful architecture, gardens, and art. The kids ventured into their first "real" (or I should say very serious) art exhibit with me. They did so well, all three of us holding hands, and Zion whispering "Shhh, Shhh" the entire time. Afterward we met Jon back at the cliffs and happened upon a rope swing while the sun was setting. Oh how these days make me long to live in this wonderful place, but we are so incredibly spoiled where we are at, and lucky to have such beauty within an arms reach.

Eden was so thrilled to be in this fountain that she was dancing around, doing all sorts of twirls..it was pretty special. |
This was the best pic I got of Zi in the fountain. He was stressing me out too much (walking right up to the fountain heads attempting to soak himself) so I unfortunately had to banish him. |
Eden walked Klamath around the fountain several times but she badly wanted him to join her in there, below she is trying to drag him in with all her might. |
Zion was captivated by these handmade pirate ships. |
They rolled through the park like terrors on a mission, and nobody seemed to mind. Can you imagine a more beautiful place to ride bikes??
We spent a lot of time at this coy pond, we actually visited it twice. There are few things these two love more than fish. |
Photography is not allowed, but I snuck this one of Eden studying this picture of a boat being tossed in the waves. |
These two were doing some sort of a baroque(esq) performance. Pretty amazing really. |

Klamath was a good sport, always our trusty chaperone. |
