Nanny's Bday

Nanny's birthday is the day after Christmas and over the last several years it has become such a special little gathering with all of the extended cousins. It's really sweet to see how naturally all the kids come together with so much love and cohesiveness. Looking at these pictures makes me a little weepy. There is so much love in this group, for Nanny and for each other and every time we get together that love just seems to grow deeper.

These pictures with everyone gathered around Kendall and Nanny looking on...something about it just seems to capture the essence of life. Life is so precious, these souls - each one of them are so precious, and they all started with that incredible women looking on.
Here Becky is reading Nanny a poem that Tara wrote for her. It was so beautifully written, but she was embarrassed (I think) and here she and Eden are giggling about it together.

Here Nanny is opening the sea glass bracelet we gave her. When we went to lunch with her about a week later she was wearing it which was really touching.
Tara came to play after the party, the kids did her hair - she is such a good sport and such an incredible cousin and friend to the kids.
