We went down to Point Loma the other day, with every intention of going to Sea World, but ended up getting extremely side tracked and the kids passed out in the car before we ever made it there. But being down there reminded us of why we love it there so much. Jon surfed at the cliffs, the waves were not very good but at least they had a little size and the kids played in the tide pools. The coast along the cliffs feels wild and free, a similar feeling that you get in baja. The kids were in heaven!
Since we didn't make it to Sea World we took the kids to the botanical gardens in Encinites when we were about half way home. We took them there sort of as a consolation, but they were in heaven and quickly forgave us for the missed Sea World experience.
