Special Moments & Wild Animal Park - Round Two

Eden began to forgo nap time some time ago. Recently I stopped fighting it. Frankly I do not have the energy or the time. So each day we push through to 6:30, and each day that she does not nap she is asleep at 6:30 on the dot. Tonight she fell asleep on my shoulder in her bed while I was reading to her Charlottes Web (her first big girl book). For some reason this was such a special moment for me. I can't remember the last time she fell asleep in my arms, I'm sure she wasn't much older than Zi.

Below are more pics from the Wild Animal Park. This time we rode the tram and fed the lorikeets. We had tons of fun, made all the more fun by the fact that all of Eden's cousins were there (on Jon's side). Eden was in heaven running around with all of them!

Easter

Easter this year was a lot of fun. Eden had so many Easter activities leading up to Easter that by the time Easter came she was just too excited to sleep. She woke up at 3:30am the day of Easter and just could not fall asleep again. Too funny that child of ours.

Zion had a good Easter too. It's kind of hard to say for sure, but I think I'm gonna go ahead and say that Zion crawled for the first time in his life, on Easter, at my parents house. If he was not crawling he sure was trying super hard, cause today he pretty much has it down.

San Diego Wild Animal Park

We used our zoo passes last week to visit the Wild Animal Park. They have this incredible 4 wk long display of butterflies in an enclosed atrium. It was more beautiful and magical than either Jon or myself anticipated it could be.

Potty Training Complete!

Last Friday night Eden decided she was all done using her little potty and said she wanted to put it away. So she simply took it out to the garage and has been done with it ever since. I am so happy I got it on film because it was just such a special moment. I kept filming her and Zi which I wish I would have stopped and not made the film so long. The best part is just her taking the potty to the garage...makes me want to cry.

Strawberry Farm Field Trip

We went to the strawberry farm with Eden's school today and Eden chowed on Strawberries. I wasn't planning on blogging tonight but when I was going through the pictures from today and saw this sequence of Eden eating this strawberry I felt it was something that Jon could truly appreciate, and since he is at work for the next few days I thought he might like to wake up to this silly little girl on his phone in the morning. So here it is...

It's hard to get a pic of these two together, especially when we are out and about. But now that Zi is stable enough to sit on his own, it is getting easier. This pic isn't amazing but it is a pic of my two little loves together which is amazing to me.

Firetruck Day at Preschool!

We had firetruck day at preschool & Jonny brought us the Firetruck!! It was so much fun! The guys hooked the hose up to the fire hydrant and let the kids hold the hose and play in the water. It was all very special. Something that we will never forget.

Lew's Visit - Our Photos

Here are some of our pics from Lew's visit. The first four are from the New San Diego Children's Museum which was a really neat museum but conceptually a little old for Eden. The bottom five are from the botanical gardens which thanks to Lew we are now members. I am already trying to figure out when we can get back there, it was just that much fun!
