Ice Skating

These are pics from the kids' first time ice skating. It was a warm November day at an outdoor ice skating rink to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. There were walkers for the ice so the kids could stabilize and get used to being on the ice - it was really very perfect. The kids had so much fun that for weeks and months they begged me to take them ice skating again - Eden especially. Then I did take them ice skating again. This time to an indoor rink. For some reason I thought that would be even better. But it wasn't. It was so freezing cold - we were way under-dressed. There were no walkers, by the time we left we were all so bruised and battered that none of us ever wanted to see the inside of an ice skating rink again. I think the experience would have been much better had it just been Eden and I. It was altogether too much for me to take on with Zi in tow as well. I feel bad - like I gipped her pretty badly. One day I owe her a skate date just she and I.
