Queen's Bath, HI

This is Queen's bath, you can only go here when the waves are pretty small. We were lucky to get a perfect day down here. At some other time I will have to post the pics from our go-pro of all of the turtles we were able to swim with.

This is on the small hike in
You can see the bath on the left and all the boys checking out the turtles in the ocean, getting ready to jump in.
The boys swimming with the turtles. There were at least 10 turtles swimming around, maybe more.
This jump was one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. I badly wanted to return but the waves just got too big. Kerry (bottom pic) wins for the best jumping style.

Wi-coco's, HI

I am finally getting around to posting about our Kauai trip. We had such an incredible time, and as usual I have done a terrible job of narrowing down the pics, but that is what this blog if for; {for Jon and I anyway} it's a time capsule, mostly of our pics, that we will have forever. These pics are from a spot called Wi-cocos (not sure on the spelling). We spent the first few days here. It's an incredible and somewhat isolated beach. Kind of a trek to get down to which meant we didn't spend too many days here.
This is our friend Kerry who owns the house we stay at. She is such an incredible mom, and person, the kids are obsessed with her.

Boat Ride Sunday

We got to go on another boat ride on Sunday. Jon is having some trouble with one of the motors not starting, but otherwise the boat ran really well. We spent more time on the water this time and were able to see a lot of sea life. It was really special, especially for both the kids. Everyone was thrilled about all of it, but the dolphins in particular were amazing and Zion was especially thrilled to see them racing us at the bow of the boat, his pure joy and emotion in response to it is something I will never forget.

The whales did not let us get very close but we were still thrilled to have found them and watch them breach up and down in the water.
A pod of seals

Eden was thrilled to have Mimmi and Popi join us and was especially thrilled to have all the extra special attention from Mimmi
This is what I get lately when I try to take a pic of Eden
And this...
This guy however still lets me do whatever I want.

Christmas Do-Over

Since Zi was so sick on Christmas my family was super gracious to reschedule Christmas entirely. We celebrated on the following Monday. It was really fun to see Zi back to his normal self and really enjoying all of the festivities. The highlight of the day for him was baby Gray. He has not stopped talking about him since. And Eden's highlight was the crayon maker that Jen got her. She talks about it being her dream come true! (:
