Christmas Day

I wanted to post some picks from Christmas Day. Zi was super sick. He spent the entire day in and out of sleep in my arms. The Walla's were very gracious to encourage us to come anyway, but I'm afraid we infected them all. I spent the rest of the day feeling miserable about that decision of mine. It was a special day nonetheless still filled with all of the magic and wonder of Christmas (for Eden at least).

It was always, up for a minute, then back to bed for Zi.
Eden's big request from Santa this year was "green socks"
My poor baby, I was on the verge of tears for him all day.

Potty Training Zi

A few days ago I somewhat abruptly decided I was ready to potty train Zi. He has been begging me to do it for several months, I keep putting him off, telling him I was not ready and the time was not right; but I guess I finally decided it was a decent time to do it. Despite all of his begging to train and apparent readiness, the potty training started out pretty rough. The first day was a nightmare which I found myself praying and apologizing my way out of. The next couple of days went much more smoothly. Below are some pics of a tender moment tonight depicting the way I will choose to remember this experience. (:

And these from last night in his "SUPER POOPER"!!! cape and mask. Thanks to Tracy for this get-up which was a real confidence booster!

Captain Jon

Today Jon received his Captain badge and helmet. His current Captain made it a point to invite the kids and I, so I made it a point to invite the rest of his family. It was really special that everyone was able to be there and be a part of this thing that he has worked to hard to accomplish. Tracy and I got there a little early to let the kids run around and play on the rigs. The kids were in heaven!
The whole Walla Crew

Blurry but the best pic I got of the actual event...
Jon with a few of the big wig chiefs.
Chief Patterson was calling this the new crew at station nine.
Look at all those groms! Even Hazel came - such a treat!
The boys were CHARGING! Thanks Tracy for the pic!
